Re-Opening Plan Highlights
We will be returning to school full-time and in-person. Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.! AND WE CAN'T WAIT!
Temperatures (staff, students, and visitors) will be checked each morning upon arrival at school. (Please see the attachment and video for important changes to temperature regulations.)
Masks/Face coverings will be worn by adults and students grades 1-6 when reasonable. (The video and attachment have much more detail about this.)
Students will be spaced 5-6 ft apart in the classroom. Distancing will be encouraged throughout the day when needed.
Visitors will only be allowed to enter the school office at this time. Please see the attachments and video for details about morning drop-off and walking preschool students to their classrooms.
We will continue to provide a full program of activity classes (music, art, p.e., STEM, library, computer). Students will go to the gym or outside for PE, will have access to the computer lab, and will be able to check out books from the library. Other activity classes will take place in the homeroom classroom. Activity teachers will come to the classrooms instead of the students going into another setting.
Students in preschool and kindergarten will eat in the classroom. Students in grades 1-6 will eat lunch in the cafeteria. The Ranchero will be catering lunches again this year!
(See the video and attachment for more details.)
We will utilize our outside space as much as possible. Recess, brain breaks, picnic lunches, and outdoor classes will be integrated into our daily routine.
Please refer to the attachments and video for details about "What if a case of COVID19 occurs in our school community." Our procedures focus on a 14 day quarantine and determining "close contact" to a positive case.
Our distance learning platform will be available throughout the year for use during quarantines and absences.
